Mystery feat Romance : A Review

Last summer was one of the most stressful one's I've been through,
but thankfully I had a few good stories to keep mr company....

Review

These stories are unique and a must-read for anyone who loves a good mystery story mixed with a little romance.

When I started reading them I didn't really expect much, I thought you know it's probably a good way to pass the time, but then I got carried away and I couldn't put them down.

First things first, each and every story is set in Wisteria, a small quiet town were at first there seems to be nothing going on.

But then as the story progresses we see that there's more to the people and the secrets they are hidding, that meets the eye.

So the female protagonist, it's always a female , sets to figure out the mystery while getting a little help by a handsome boy, so here's your romance which is always a nice distraction from the main plot.

Her character's are your everyday teenagers who suddenly face these secrets they have to unravel while  simultaneously trying to juggle their worries and pottential love interests.

All in all, they are likeable and funny at times and Elizabeth Chandler's writing style will have caring for them in no time.

What really got me hooked though is the fact that these stories are never what they seem,
just when you think you figured out what happened or who did what,
an unexpected and well placed plot twist hits you that makes you reconsider everything.

In the end the bad guys get what they deserve,
even if at first they seemed like the good guys.

So try them and let me know what you think !!!

HushHush Series Last Book Finale

As it was announced by Becca Fitzpatrick on Twitter,
there will be a fourth book in her HushHush Series.

It's title is Finale and it will be released on the 23rd of October 2012

Also Becca tweeted some quotes from the book
and answered a few questions on her blog.

What is the title of the fourth book in the HUSH, HUSH saga?
FINALE. I revealed the title during a live Goodreads chat in January.

Is FINALE really the last book in the series?
It is. I've devoted the past several years to the HUSH, HUSH series, and while I will most definitely miss the characters and the world I've built, I'm ready to jump into a new manuscript and feel the challenge and reward that comes with fleshing out new characters, plot, and setting.

When can I buy FINALE?
The book releases October 23, 2012 in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, and Australia. I do not have information about other countries' release dates at this time, my apologies.

Can I read a description of FINALE anywhere?
FINALE is under embargo, which means my publisher is working very hard to make sure FINALE has a strict release date of October 23—they don't want spoilers leaking early!
To aid this process, the description of FINALE that is currently available is very, very vague.
I will post it here, but be warned: It isn't a juicy tell-all!
Nora is more certain than ever that she is in love with Patch. Fallen angel or no, he is the one for her. Her heritage and destiny may mean that they will always be enemies, but there is no turning her back on him. But now they face their biggest challenge. Can their love survive a seemingly insurmountable divide? And in the end, will there be enough trust left to rebuild what has been broken? The lines are drawn - but which sides are they on?

I'm dying to read FINALE – can you share a sneak peek with fans?
Chapter 1 of FINALE is included as bonus content in the paperback of CRESCENDO, available in bookstores everywhere. Happy reading!

How many pages is FINALE?
Currently, it's 435. During the editing process, that number may go up or down, but it won't change drastically.

When will FINALE's cover be revealed?
The cover reveal will happen May/June. Stay tuned!

Will you be touring for FINALE?
Yes! I'll be touring the US October 23 – 29. You might notice that I'm touring substantially less this year than I have in the past. I have two little boys at home, and I've felt strongly in recent months that I need to be home with them as much as possible. In the past, I've missed birthdays, Halloween, class plays, music productions, and first soccer goals, among many other exciting childhood celebrations, due to touring. I love touring and meeting fans, but it requires a big sacrifice in my personal life. This year I've made the decision to tour less in order to spend more time with my family. I appreciate your understanding.

If I can't come to an event, can I still get a signed copy of FINALE and the other books in the series?
Absolutely! Most bookstores are happy to sell books over the phone. Simply call a bookstore I'm scheduled to visit, pre-order a copy of the book, and explain that you'd like me to sign and personalize the book for you. For a small shipping fee, the bookstore will mail the signed copy directly to you.

Book News !!!

It's been a while since my last post and there are some juicy news about  two of my favorite books
and since I believe in sharing ...

First of all  a teaser-trailer for Rapture ( Fallen Series ) came out today
and there will be a full trailer on 12th May 2012.

Summary

The sky is dark with wings . . . .

Like sand in an hourglass, time is running out for Luce and Daniel. To stop Lucifer from erasing the past they must find the place where the angels fell to earth. Dark forces are after them, and Daniel doesn’t know if he can do this—live only to lose Luce again and again.

Yet together they will face an epic battle that will end with lifeless bodies . . . and angel dust. Great sacrifices are made. Hearts are destroyed. And suddenly Luce knows what must happen.

For she was meant to be with someone other than Daniel. The curse they’ve borne has always and only been about her—and the love she cast aside. The choice she makes now will be the only one that truly matters.

In the fight for Luce, who will win?

The astonishing conclusion to the FALLEN series. Heaven can’t wait any longer.

Second of all, one of my absolute favorite series has been acquired for a movie!!
Yep Fifty Shades will be coming to the big screen!!!

Here's the article:

"Fifty Shades of Grey,” the erotic bestseller that’s become a publishing phenomenon, is heading to the big screen.

Over the course of a weekend that saw another book series generate one of the biggest movie box office openings in history, Universal Pictures and Focus Features won the rights to turn author E L James‘ sexual trilogy into a movie.

The books tell the story of a college student (Anastasia Steele) in a highly-charged, dominant-submissive erotic relationship with a young billionaire named Christian Grey.

First published by a small Australian independent press, “Fifty Shades of Grey” has since swept the e-book world, rocketing up the Amazon and New York Times bestseller lists.

Interest from Hollywood soon followed, especially given that previously unknown writers such as JK Rowling and Stephenie Meyer have penned series that were successfully translated into billion-dollar film franchises.

Cassandra Clare, the author best known for the Mortal Instrument series, is back with the second installment of her other New York Times best-selling series, The Infernal Devices Trilogy.

As you count down the seconds until Dec. 6, when Clockwork Prince hits shelves, we have a haunting, cinematic trailer that will transport you to Victorian London, where Shadowhunters roam the misty streets, the

Magister is up to his dark deeds, and the Tessa-Jem-Will love triangle continues.

Conclusions !!!

Hmmh these are the conclusions to some of the book series, well expect for the Fallen series where's still another one, anyway enjoy :)

And because it's even better to listen to music while reading a book here's a little melody..

The Prophecy of the Sisters
Trilogy

Cirlce of Fire

With time dwindling but her will to end the Prophecy stronger than ever, Lia sets out on a journey to find the remaining keys, locate the missing pages of the Prophecy, and convince her sister Alice to help--or risk her life trying. Lia has her beloved Dimitri by her side, but Alice has James, the man who once loved her sister--and maybe still does. James doesn't know the truth about either sister, or the prophecy that divides them. And Alice intends to keep it that way.

There are some secrets sisters aren't meant to share. Because when they do, it destroys them. This stunning conclusion to Michelle Zink's Prophecy of the Sisters trilogy will make saying good-bye bittersweet for readers.

Need

Zara collects phobias the way other high school girls collect lipsticks. Little wonder, since life’s been pretty rough so far. Her father left, her stepfather just died, and her mother’s pretty much checked out. Now Zara’s living with her grandmother in sleepy, cold Maine so that she stays “safe.” Zara doesn’t think she’s in danger; she thinks her mother can’t deal.

Wrong. Turns out that guy she sees everywhere, the one leaving trails of gold glitter, isn’t a figment of her imagination. He’s a pixie—and not the cute, lovable kind with wings. He’s the kind who has dreadful, uncontrollable needs. And he’s trailing Zara.

Captivate

Zara and her friends knew they hadn’t solved the pixie problem for good. Far from it. The king’s needs grow deeper every day he’s stuck in captivity, while his control over his people gets weaker. It’s made him vulnerable. And now there’s a new king in town.

A turf war is imminent, since the new pixie king, Astley, is moving in quickly. Nick nearly killed him in the woods on day one, but Zara came to his rescue. Astley swears that he and Zara are destined to be together, that he’s one of the good guys. Nick isn’t buying it, though Zara isn’t as sure — despite herself, she wants to trust the new king. But it’s a lot more than her relationship with Nick that is at stake. It’s her life — and his.

Entice

Zara and Nick are soul-mates - they're meant to be together for ever. But that's not quite how things have worked out. For starters, Nick is dead, and has been taken to Valhalla, a mystical resting place for warriors. If they can find the way there, Zara and her friends will try to get him back. But even if they do, Zara has turned pixie - and now she's Astley's queen! Meanwhile, more teenagers go missing as a group of evil pixies devastates the town of Bedford. An all-out war seems imminent and Zara and her friends need all the warriors they can find...

4th Book coming out early 2012

Incarceron

Imagine a living prison so vast that it contains corridors and forests, cities and seas. Imagine a prisoner with no memory, who is sure he came from Outside, even though the prison has been sealed for centuries and only one man, half real, half legend, has ever escaped.
Imagine a girl in a manor house in a society where time has been forbidden, where everyone is held in a seventeenth century world run by computers, doomed to an arranged marriage that appals her, tangled in an assassination plot she both dreads and desires.
One inside, one outside
But both imprisoned.
Imagine a war that has hollowed the moon, seven skullrings that contain souls, a flying ship and a wall at the world's end.
Imagine the unimaginable.
Imagine Incarceron.

Sapphique

Finn has escaped from the terrible living Prison of Incarceron, but its memory torments him, because his brother Keiro is still inside. Outside, Claudia insists he must be king, but Finn doubts even his own identity. Is he the lost prince Giles? Or are his memories no more than another construct of his imprisonment? And can you be free if your friends are still captive? Can you be free if your world is frozen in time? Can you be free if you don't even know who you are? Inside Incarceron, has the crazy sorcerer Rix really found the Glove of Sapphique, the only man the Prison ever loved. Sapphique, whose image fires Incarceron with the desire to escape its own nature. If Keiro steals the glove, will he bring destruction to the world? Inside. Outside. All seeking freedom. Like Sapphique.

(Trilogy)

Hush Hush

Nora Grey is responsible and smart and not inclined to be reckless.  Her first mistake was falling for Patch.  Patch has a past that could be called anything but harmless.  The best thing he ever did was fall for Nora.

After getting paired with Patch in biology, all Nora wants to do is stay away from him, but he always seems to be two steps ahead of her.  She can feel his eyes on her even when he is nowhere around. She feels him nearby even when she is alone in her bedroom. And when her attraction can be denied no longer, she learns the secret about who Patch is and what led him to her. Despite all the questions she has about his past, in the end, there may be only one question they can ask each other: How far are you willing to fall?

Crescendo

Nora should have known her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away and Nora can't figure out if it's for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home.

The farther Nora delves into the mystery of her father's death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim blood line has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl. Since Patch isn't answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine?

Silence
(release 4 October 2011)

The noise between Patch and Nora is gone in this book. They've overcome the secrets riddled in Patch's dark past...bridged two irreconcilable worlds...faced heart-wrenching tests of betrayal, loyalty and trust...and all for a love that will transcend the boundary between heaven and earth. Armed with nothing but their absolute faith in one another, Patch and Nora enter a desperate fight to stop a villain who holds the power to shatter everything they've worked for—and their love—forever.

The Forest of Hands and Teeth

In Mary's world, there are simple truths.

The Sisterhood always knows best.

The Guardians will protect and serve.

The Unconsecrated will never relent.

And you must always mind the fence that surrounds the village. The fence that protects the village from the Forest of Hands and Teeth.

But slowly, Mary's truths are failing her. She's learning things she never wanted to know about the Sisterhood and its secrets, and the Guardians and their power. And, when the fence is breached and her world is thrown into chaos, about the Unconsecrated and their relentlessness.

Now she must choose between her village and her future, between the one she loves and the one who loves her. And she must face the truth about the Forest of Hands and Teeth. Could there be life outside a world surrounded by so much death?

The Dead-Tossed Waves

Gabry lives a quiet life, secure in her town next to the sea and behind the Barrier. She's content to let her friends dream of the Dark City up the coast while she watches from the top of her lighthouse. Home is all she's ever known, and all she needs for happiness.

But life after the Return is never safe, and there are threats even the Barrier can't hold back.

Gabry's mother thought she left her secrets behind in the Forest of Hands and Teeth, but like the dead in their world, secrets don't stay buried. And now, Gabry's world is crumbling.

One night beyond the Barrier...

One boy Gabry's known forever and one veiled in mystery...

One reckless moment, and half of Gabry's generation is dead, the other half imprisoned.

Gabry knows only one thing: if she is to have any hope of a future, she must face the forest of her mother's past.

The Dark and Hallow Places
(release March 2011)

There are many things that Annah would like to forget: the look on her sister's face when she and Elias left her behind in the Forest of Hands and Teeth, her first glimpse of the horde as they found their way to the Dark City, the sear of the barbed wire that would scar her for life. But most of all, Annah would like to forget the morning Elias left her for the Recruiters.

Annah's world stopped that day and she's been waiting for him to come home ever since. Without him, her life doesn't feel much different from that of the dead that roam the wasted city around her. Then she meets Catcher and everything feels alive again.

Except, Catcher has his own secrets—dark, terrifying truths that link him to a past Annah's longed to forget, and to a future too deadly to consider. And now it's up to Annah—can she continue to live in a world drenched in the blood of the living? Or is death the only escape from the Return's destruction?

So here they are...what do you think??

Have you read any of them yet??

If so let me know!
I would love to talk about them!!
